SP & Stamina Planner

Limit Breaker Journey asks you to juggle three numbers every run: your map stamina, enemy SP ratings, and your own SP progression that unlocks stat points and Battle Art slots. This fan-made planner is a worksheet — not an in-game calculator — you can keep beside your screen while following Limit Breaker Journey Guide and Complete Journey Runs.

Pair results with Battle Arts Builds and Stat Allocation. When Bandai patches stamina or SP curves, refresh assumptions using Free Update Notes and NEO Launch Update.

Pre-run checklist

Copy this block at the start of every Journey attempt:

  • Character chosen from Players Hub with known archetype (rush / ki / guard)
  • First-run goal defined: 2 Battle Arts before first elite OR safe SP band __________
  • Senzu Bean count noted (starting + expected event gains)
  • Rest node locations marked on mental map (Stages Hub if NEO arenas appear)
  • Export intent: offline / online / practice only — see Complete Journey Runs
  • Patch version confirmed (July 29+ free update for Sparking Boost / Linked Blast)

Stamina ledger (update each hop)

Moving on the Journey map costs stamina. Official materials state:

  • Lower stamina can reduce starting HP in the next fight.
  • Winning while exhausted grants more EXP — deliberate risk if you can execute.
  • Senzu Beans fully restore stamina during a run.

4Elite (SP _____)
5Rest / Recovery

Rule of thumb: if stamina after travel drops below 25% and the next node is elite, either use Senzu, take a rest node, or detour to a safer battle — vertical stages like Kami’s Palace and Stratosphere punish low HP starts with ring-outs.

Enemy SP vs reward matrix

Enemy nodes display an SP value — strength relative to your current progression. Higher SP means tougher fights and more EXP if you win.

Use this decision table before accepting elites:

Your conditionEnemy SP vs youRecommendation
Full stamina, 2+ Arts equippedAt or +1 bandAccept — log EXP gain
Full stamina, empty Art slotsAny eliteDetour to event first (Battle Arts)
Low stamina (under %)+1 or higherAvoid unless Senzu ready
Low staminaEqual or lowerAccept only if HP start penalty confirmed manageable

When unsure, grind one training node — slower but stabilizes SP curve without ending the run.

Battle Art slot tracker

Slot count increases with your SP progression. Never leave slots empty through an elite chain.

Slot rules:

  1. Fill slot 1 before chasing high-SP elites.
  2. Replace weak Arts mid-run when teachers offer upgrades — do not hoard obsolete passives.
  3. If two offered Arts conflict (Ki vs melee), pivot Stat Allocation within two milestones.

Route planning worksheet

Before a long cross-map sprint, answer:

  1. Destination SP rating: ______
  2. Stamina after travel: ______
  3. Art slots filled: ___ / ___
  4. Senzu remaining: ______
  5. Stage type if known: flat / vertical (Stage Variants vs NEO DLC)
  6. Expected EXP reward worth risk? Y / N

If any answer fails, pick an adjacent safe node or rest — failed runs keep EXP, but a loss still ends the current attempt.

SituationUse Senzu now?
Before two-hop elite chainYes
Before single low-SP battleNo — save unless stamina under %
After unexpected event stamina costMaybe — check next node SP
Before run bossYes if below 50% stamina
When holding for achievementNever greed if run ends

Post-run review (5 minutes)

  • Which SP band first broke your build?
  • Did empty Art slots cause the loss?
  • Was stamina ledger wrong because of unmarked event costs?
  • Export-worthy? Cross-check NEO Roster Tier List and Tier List Hub

This planner turns Journey randomization into auditable decisions. Fill the tables every run until routing becomes instinct — then keep the Senzu and slot rows anyway; overconfidence causes most late-run losses.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What does SP mean on the Journey map?

Enemy nodes show SP as relative strength. Higher SP opponents grant more EXP but hit harder. Your own SP progression unlocks stats and Battle Art slots.

When should I use a Senzu Bean?

Before elite chains, before the run boss if stamina is below half, or when the next node is high-SP and your stamina is under 25% after travel.

How does this planner relate to Battle Arts?

The slot tracker ensures you fill Art slots as SP rises. Empty slots during elites are a common fail state — see Battle Arts Builds for what to equip.

Is low stamina ever worth keeping?

Yes for EXP gambling — winning while exhausted pays more EXP. Only attempt if execution is consistent and the stage is not a vertical ring-out hazard.

Does the planner replace in-game UI?

No. It is a fan worksheet for routing discipline. Trust in-game values after patches and update your notes accordingly.
